Urban Development Institute - Ontario - News and Publications
The Urban Development Institute (UDI) - Ontario has acted as the voice of the real estate development and building industry in Ontario for over forty 40 years. With over 300 members, the Institute is actively involved in public policy research and advocacy, working with private and public stakeholders across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Ontario. In 2006, the Institute merged with the Greater Toronto Home Builders’ Association (GTHBA). Their new website is still under construction.
UDI/Ontario is also part of a national body of provincial/regional affiliates within UDI Canada - with organizations in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec and Nova Scotia. Its membership is engaged in all aspects of the planning and development of communities and the construction of residential, industrial and commercial projects throughout Canada and around the world. UDI/Ontario serves as a forum for knowledge, experience, and research on land use planning, land development, housing and industrial/commercial enterprises. Its membership includes: land developers, builders, land use and environmental planners, investors, financial institutions, engineers, lawyers, environmental scientists, economists, marketing and research firms and architects.
