Alliance to End Homelessness

The Alliance to End Homelessness is a coalition of community stakeholders in Ottawa committed to working collaboratively to end homelessness by gaining and promoting a better understanding of homelessness and advocating for strategies to end it. Its priorities are public education; research and advocacy. Its collection of research, done by the Alliance’s Research and Evaluation Working Group, focuses on the causes of homelessness and on effective interventions.

  2. Alliance Briefs - a collection of submissions sent to various levels of government
  3. Research - research items related to ATEH activities as well as other relevant Ottawa research and/or sources, arranged in chronological order (many of these are duplicated in other sections in this category)
  4. 2006-2008 Community Action Plan on Homelessness - "Priority on People" - Ottawa's 2006-2008 Community Action Plan on Homelessness to create "A City Without Homelessness".

  6. Ottawa Service Inventory for Agencies - a searchable database of community services available to the homeless or those at risk of becoming homeless in Ottawa
Also from this page is a document called: Scan of Organizational Capacity from the Inventory of Housing and Support Services 2005 which presents the results of the survey done in creating the Ottawa Service Inventory.

From the main menu on the home page, is also a section called Action Centre.  Here are found some tips on what one can to do to help end homelessness.  It includes email messages, postcards and tips on contacting government and media.
