Faculty of Environmental Studies

The Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES) defines “environment" as everything that surrounds us. Therefore, environmental studies is not only about natural environments, but also about built environments, social environments, organizational environments, and all of the sets of relationships between them. FES has been defining environmental studies in this way since 1968, beginning with a Master in Environmental Studies Program, then joined in 1991 by the Bachelors and PhD programs.
