Waterloo's School of Planning is the only school in Canada to offer Planning at the Bachelor's, Master's and PhD levels. Planning incorporates areas such as economics, design, ecology, sociology, geography, law, political science, and statistics to guide and ensure the orderly development of our communities. While much of the research in the School of Planning is multidisciplinary, research activities generally fall into two major theme areas: physical/natural environment; human and built environment.
