Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estate
The goal of the UBC Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estate is to promote academic research and teaching in these areas at the Sauder School of Business. The centre's objective is to foster the integration between teaching, research and the professional real estate community in BC and Canada. Centre activities include support for the research of its affiliated faculty, the Sauder School of Business academic programs, and students in real estate and urban economics. The Centre also sponsors events to present the knowledge generated in the academic community to the professional community.
The Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estate's current programs include the Grosvenor Summer Undergraduate Internship in Real Estate, a data web site on Canadian metropolitan area real estate markets, a summer international research symposium and a professional roundtable.
The Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estate was established at the Sauder School of Business with the support of the Real Estate Foundation of British Columbia and aims to advance the research and teaching of urban economics and real estate within the province.
