Northwest Territories — Legislative Library

The Legislative Library of the Northwest Territories provides information and reference services to Members of the Legislative Assembly, their staff, and Government of the N.W.T. employees. The Library's resources and facilities are also available for use by the public provided there is no conflict with service to core users.

The Legislative Library is located on the main floor of the Legislative Assembly Building. Library Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (except statutory holidays). The Legislative Library has a second collection located in the Legislative Branch Library, which is located on the second floor of Centre Square Tower in Yellowknife. Library Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday (except statutory holidays).

The library site (http://www.assembly.gov.nt.ca/_live/pages/wpPages/home.aspx) makes available the Checklist of Northwest Territories Government Publications, a listing of N.W.T. government publications received in the Legislative Library. The lists go back to 1994 and the publications on the list are sorted by department. In addition, the New in the Library area is a selection of new titles acquired by the Legislative Library and the Legislative Branch Library that focus on areas of interest to Members of the Legislative Assembly and Government of the Northwest Territories departments. Also included are a list of articles from periodicals and newspapers held in the libraries. Publications are sorted by year and are available in full text PDF format.
