The New Brunswick Department of Social Development is one of the largest departments in the New Brunswick government and includes New Brunswick Family and Community Services. The department helps:
• abused and neglected children and adults;
• seniors and persons with disabilities who require long-term care and nursing home services;
• families and individuals in need of social assistance and affordable housing;
• children in need of help to be ready for school, families in need of affordable day care.
