Theses Canada
The National Library of Canada's (now called Library and Archives Canada) Canadian Theses on Microfiche Service was launched in 1965 as a national program to make theses and dissertations that had been accepted by Canadian universities easily accessible to researchers. Currently more than sixty universities participate in the national program. By 2002, there were over 220,000 theses and dissertations in the collection and approximately 11,000 more are added each year. The collection includes topics of all kinds, but includes many titles related to all aspects of housing.

The Theses Canada database can be searched with either a basic or an advanced search option.
In the basic search one can search by any keyword, name keyword, title keyword, subject keyword, note keyword, abstract keyword, AMICUS number, ISBN number, degree and university.
The advanced search allows searching on multiple terms (using same search bys) and allows limits by year and language. With both the basic and advanced search, one can restrict a search to only electronic theses – which can be searched full text.
Documents are a mixture of bibliographic citations and PDF documents. PDF documents are free.
