City of Edmonton Planning & Development Library
The City of Edmonton Planning and Development Library is located on the 6th floor of the HSBC Bank Canada Building, formerly the Allstream tower. The City provides a diverse range of publications of interest to businesses, industry and citizens. These publications contain information on city neighbourhoods and the Edmonton region and include such information as development plans, guidelines and standards for design and development, strategic policies, rezoning, land subdivision and survey information. The library collection contains material on land use planning, urban design, city planning and public works, urban design, land use, housing and population, transportation, historic preservation, downtown and neighbourhood planning.

The library collection consists of about 7000 books and reports. Holdings also include aerial photographs of Edmonton, videos, DVDs, journals and documents in electronic formats. The library catalogue is automated but accessible only to City of Edmonton employees. Members of the public can contact the librarian for assistance. The library is open to the public for reference use only. Library hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 4:30.
