Canadian Green Building Council’s (CaGBC) mission is to lead the transformation of the built environment to create buildings and communities that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live, work and play, through the engagement and enablement of industry and government and the support of related organizations to accelerate sustainable building and development in Canada. Their vision is a transformed built environment leading to a sustainable future. Their work focuses on working to change industry standards, develop best design practices and guidelines; advocate for green buildings, and develop educational tools to support its members in implementing sustainable design and construction practices.

1. The CaGBC - includes their Media Room containing press releases back to 2006 and News, containing current items of interest about the Council.
2. Chapters - lists the chapters across Canada and, for most, provides the following information: overview; board; news; events; conferences; membership; sponsors; chapter resources. Some of the chapters have presentations available from different conferences.
3. Initiatives - provides information on (i) The LEED Canada Initiative - the CaGBC's effort, in collaboration with the USGBC, to develop the next generation of the green building rating system; (ii) Green Building Performance Initiative - a focused effort to develop an affordable and easily accessible tool for energy and environmental management for new and existing buildings.
4. LEED Canada - this section provides information on: what is LEED and why qualify; the LEED for Homes in Canada case study program; certified and registered projects; and the LEED Canada rating systems.
5. LEED AP - information on how to become a LEED Accredited Professional.
6. Resources - publications and other websites on the following aspects of green building: Market Value; Building Performance; General Information; Technical Information; Recommended Reading.
