Also accessible from this section, under the Quick Links tab is a document called the Canadian Housing Observer.  Combining a wide-ranging annual review of the state of Canada's housing and a substantial collection of online data resources, the Canadian Housing Observer will help in understanding housing trends and conditions and of key factors driving Canadian housing markets.

When you click on Canadian Housing Observer, you are given the following list to choose from:

• Canadian Housing Observer
  Provides access to current and previous editions of the Canadian Housing Observer publication as well as a variety of supporting data resources to improve understanding of Canadian housing markets.

• Data Tables
  These tables provide an overview of housing conditions and trends in Canada and in each province and Census Metropolitan Area.  Data covers a 16-year period, to allow one to view trends over time.

• Housing in Canada Online (HICO)
  This interactive tool can be used to build custom tables and for analyzing data on housing conditions, including core housing need.

• Housing Market Information
  Access reports (in PDF format) featuring housing data collected by CMHC as well as analyses and forecasts.  This link takes one back to the main Housing Market Information page, mentioned above.
