The NHRC's Sustainable Housing and Communities Working Group was held April 26th, 2010 at the Loews Hotel Vogue in Montreal. The meeting was followed by a bus tour. 

Meeting Description

The Sustainable Housing and Communities Working Group Co-chairs François Dubrous of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and Mark Holzman of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation opened the meeting. Professor Patricia McCarney of the University of Toronto presented the Global Cities Program that targets comparative research to help cities with performance monitoring in areas such as urban planning, governance, and environmental management. The next presentation by François Goulet of the City of Montreal provided an overview of municipal planning initiatives.
