The Fall 2012 NHRC's Homelessness Working Group meeting was held on Monday morning November 5th, 2012 at the Minto Suite Hotel, 185 Lyon Street in Ottawa, Ontario.

Co-chairs Nancy Baker of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and Louise Hale-Finley of New Brunswick - Social Development opened the meeting. John Trainor of Toronto's Centre for Addiction and Mental Health examined research on an assessment of housing and related supports for persons living with mental health problems. This was followed by a presentation by Jeannette W. Schiff of the University of Calgary who explored research findings on a study to find best-practice evidence for Housing First as a model for housing and re-housing homeless individuals. Then, Jamey Burden from Washington DC explored Rapid Re-Housing programs in the United States of America.
