Objectives/focus/mandate/mission: 

To conduct research that can be applied to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of mental health and addiction services.

Objectives:
• conduct population-based health services research relevant to policy-makers and health service providers
• examine province-wide patterns and trends in mental health and addiction service delivery and uptake
• create knowledge and evidence-based recommendations that inform decision-making at all levels of service delivery
• support empirical inquiry and build partnerships among academics, government, healthcare providers, community agencies, consumers, and family members
• train researchers and promote a broader understanding of population health and research in the areas of mental health and addiction
