Canadian Renewable Energy Network (CanREN), Natural Resources Canada (NRCan)
Its purpose is to increase the understanding of renewable energy to accelerate the development and commercialization of renewable energy technologies. It offers general information on renewable energy source, highlights the technologies and applications being developed to harness these sources, and presents Canadians with the knowledge and support they need to make renewable energy part of their everyday lives.
CanREN was developed through cooperative action of three groups within NRCan:
CANMET Energy Technology Centre (CETC)
Renewable and Electrical Energy Division
GeoAccess Division
Heating, energy efficiency, wood energy, solar water heating, wind energy systems, hydroelectric energy, renewable energy.
