Objectives/focus/mandate/mission: 

The Programme prepares people and organizations to adapt to change and to act on opportunities for developing sustainable rural communities and small towns.

Funding agencies/organizations: 
From 1985 to 1995 it was funded by the Government of Canada, through CMHC. Since 1995, it has been funded through a variety of project-based funding sources outside the University operating budget, for all operating costs. Funding sources include contracts from all levels of government (through competitive bid RFPs), granting councils, and project-based funding from community organizations.

Community housing needs; sustainable and community development; capacity building; rural housing issues; housing and aging, community planning

Other activities: 

Host conferences and workshops; speak at conferences and workshops; provide professional development and training as a certified trainer for Canadian Housing and Renewal Association and the NB Non-Profit Housing Association
