About the Full Committee
During Full Committee meetings, NHRC Working Groups report to members and presentations are given on emerging research issues and special interest topics. The outcomes of the meeting provide direction for future NHRC activity.
Membership
To be eligible for membership, organizations must:
- Represent a national organization; federal, provincial or territorial government; or other organization with a constituency which has a significant impact on the national housing scene
- Have an active interest in producing or using housing research
- Be made up of individuals responsible for directing or using research and recommending priorities
- Actively participate in the NHRC by sending a representative, at their own expense, to the Full Committee meeting at least once a year
Members are invited to attend all Full Committee meetings and can participate in Working Groups. Staff who accompany the member are considered observers and cannot participate in the meeting directly. Other parties with a significant interest in housing research may be granted associated membership that gives them access to the proceedings and activities of the Committee through the NHRC’s extranet site.
