For more than 50 years, the Canadian Manufactured Housing Institute (CMHI) has been the voice of the factory-built housing industry in Canada. The CMHI brings manufactured housing builders, retailers, realtors, suppliers, community managers and others together to promote the construction of manufactured housing. Members of this association collaborate on a range of activities, including research and innovative projects.

Accessible under the Magazine tab, CMHI's Building Excellence magazine offers information on a range of topics, such as design and development, codes and standards, exports, education and training, and builder profiles. The Buying a Home section contains consumer information about buying a manufactured home, including descriptions of the different types of manufactured housing available. Documents are in HTML format and free.

Note: The CMHI maintains a small physical library collection of documents on the topic of manufactured housing, including CMHI reports and newsletters, magazines, copies of documents produced by other organizations, as well as books. The collection is on open shelves within the CMHI offices and is available for consultation by staff, CMHI membership and external clients.
